When my sweet Anna who dearly loves cake had a birthday approaching, I was in a quandary as to what I could possibly make to meet the need. With all the recipes I had revised to accommodate her dietary restrictions, baking a cake with delectable filling covered with finger licking good frosting loomed before me as a mountain not yet conquered. I was not yet able to rise to the challenge. I contacted Petunia’s Pies & Pastries after reading about them in the newspaper. Lisa, the owner, designed a custom cake for my daughter that used only ingredients she could eat. The love and care she poured into the creation of the cake was evident in every bite. It was superb, and best of all Anna got her birthday cake.
