The simple sweetness of a wedding planned in short order led me to recollect a song that seemed to capture such an event. “Going to the Chapel” may seem silly on the surface but I like what it represents. Love that leads to a decision of commitment between two individuals followed by a trip to the chapel… where families gather, God is still honored, and the promise of new beginnings and two lives coming together is celebrated.

God has great things in store for you as you walk the road of life together. Trials come, but together in Him there is always hope–the sun will rise and God’s mercy is new every morning.

We love you Anna and Will…

Going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married.
Going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married.
Gee, I really love you and we’re gonna get married.
Going to the chapel of love.

Spring is here,
the sky is blue.
Whoa! the birds all sing as if they knew.
Today’s the day, we’ll say, “I do”
and we’ll never be lonely anymore.

Chorus:
Because we’re going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married.
Going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married.
Gee, I really love you and we’re gonna get married.
Going to the chapel of love.

Bells will ring,
the sun will shine.
Whoa, I’ll be his and he’ll be mine.
We’ll love until the end of time
and we’ll never be lonely anymore.

Chorus:
Because we’re going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married.
Going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married.
Gee, I really love you and we’re gonna get married.
Going to the chapel of love.

Going to the chapel of love.
