The hydrangeas are putting on a spectacular summer show. From now til fall, they display an ever changing parade of colors. White turning to a multi-shade coral, vivid pink becoming a deep burgandy, bright green fading to a lighter shade of lovliness, bright blue transforming to a subtle hue. Based on the ph of the soil their transition colors can change and be a complete surprise every summer. Fortunately hydrangeas do very well in our garden, and there is a  business nearby with an enormous selection. I buy them, Anna plants and waters them, and in the fall I harvest the best for hydrangea wreaths to enjoy throughout the winter.

Here are some of our favorites.
